Hooded towels $10- $15

Here is one of the hooded towels I made for my niece Leah. I made her a green one, pink one and this brown one with her name one it. I learned this project from my besty Brandy. I also sell them for $10 w/out name or $12 to $15 with name. They are great for the pool, getting out of the bath tub too. They make great baby shower gifts, new baby gifts, birthdays, and etc. They grow with your child from infant to 10 if they want to. I really enjoy making this towels. I know my son loves them, he thinks he can fly around. Let me know if you are interested in buying one or want more information about them. Let me know through my blog or at adeich05@gmail.com. I would love to make them for you.

WOW

Wow, I had been gone for a really long time. I had the wonderful opportunity to see my best friend in PA for a couple days. I haven't seen the Young's for about 4 years. We also went to SC for my husband best friends wedding. That was a fun but eventful weekend. We had just celebrated my son's birthday too. I have been really busy. I have worked on a few projects over the summer that I am either still working on, forgot to take a picture or I still haven't taken a picture yet. I am still working on my nieces quilt, make 40 baby shower invites for my SIL, getting ready to make 40 of mine own Christmas cards, and in the process of making baby shower gifts too. I went to my monthly scrapbooking group and was there for 5 hours and only make one page. SO, SO, SO sad.

My hubby was nice enough to purchase a Gypsy for me. Hopefully, that will come in the mail here really soon. I so need to get organized a lot better so I can do more work. I am hoping to move out of this house into something better come next March then that way I can get better organized, this house that we are renting doesn't make it easy to really scrapbook or even make anything since I am currently using my sewing table as a computer desk at the moment. LOL

Picture will come soon.

Check back since I am back since summer is finally settling down.

Everyday Life

Well, It has been awhile since I have posted on anything about my life. So, here we go.
Matthew has been going into daycare a couple days a week now and has gotten so much better with his speech. He has been saying a lot more and has gotten a little personality on him too. His face expressions lately will make you smile and laugh for hours. He is such a joy to have. Even though; the little booger wants to explore and not listen to anything you say. The only thing that seems to work is Time outs spanken don't do anything for this child. Lol He has been trying to potty on the the potty, he was at daycare on Tuesday and he had pottied twice on the potty, but when he comes home he doesn't want to do it. All we can do it try. We are not pushing it on him or anything. He thinks its great to be a big boy. He is also very much into Cars, especially the cars movie and etc. He loves train, Thomas is his favorite. Planes and regular cars and trucks too.

The hubby is loving his new job now. I have now clue on what he is doing but he loves it I guess. He has some job interviews coming up for Government work, in either Charlottesville VA, or Norfolk Va, I would love to move to Norfolk but I really have a liking where I am today. He is looking into all his hunting and fishing here. He has a lot more time now that he works 40 hours and they kick him out when he has 40 hours too. Since we don't have too many friends we really have spent a lot of time together as a family and it really has made our marriage a lot closer and better too. He still wants to deploy though which I can't blame him that is all he has know being in the Marine Corps.

Things with me has gotten a lot better and boy do I mean a lot better. I was so depressed when I got here it wasn't even funny. I started Matthew in swim lessons and have met a friend her name is Cheryl and her daughter Kaitlyn. They play so well together. I have joined a scrap-booking group up in Bowie, MD and the gals up there are so great. I am really blessed to have them apart of my life. I also join a stampin up group too with a few of the ladies from the scrapbook group too. Its great to see them at least twice a month. I also found a really cool blog site, thanks to Heather Palmer. I will be posting my work that I have wanted to build on here soon, I am still a work in progress. Its call Knock of wood. I will have pictures of that soon too. Also, I even started up this blog to help keep me busy too. I have been working a lot this month too. I am currently in the process of getting hired on as a contractor (examiner) with to other companies. It has been a slow process but its working for us right now. We have the entire Deich family up for my birthday weekend (which is Memorial day weekend) to visit. Us girls and kids will be going to D.C and the guys are going Deep sea fishing. It should be a great time. I know I can't wait.

I hope to have more of a better up date soon, its kind of been just us lately keep checking back for more crafts that I made or even find out what we have been up too.

Matthew's discovery of Dandelions!

Since growing up in Arizona, we never had these kind of weeds, especially since we lived in the desert. Matthew started picking up this weeds and Daddy taught him what he needed to do with it. So now the thing we have to really teach him is he has to put it closer to his mouth and not eating it, and blowing the dandelion off his stem. He likes to eat them then he go yuck and starts wiping his tongue off with his hands. Oh, the joys of having a adventurous little boy.

Leah's quilt part 2

As you can finally see I have found my power cord, I have been having a lot of fun making this quilt for my niece. I didn't realize how big it was until I started making it.

This the first row that I have put together last night. It was a little hard since you have to make sure you have the right one the right way. It would have made it a little easier if my wonderful husband didn't take my stitch remover try to use it as a screwdriver to turn down the water heater.

This what each square looks like. I am really happy with the way it is turning out. I can't wait to get back to working on it. Keep checking back for more !

The design I am using it from My sister and me designs. I really like how easy the patterns are too.

Stampin' Up! club 1

This is what we made in my Stampin' Up! Club today. The mugs make awesome Christmas presents using stick vinyal. Then we made a mothers day card using two kinds of ribbon and one of the punches then used a corner rounder for the flower petals. It was great getting together with the the ladies today. It was nice having an adult conversations but yet being around someone with a great sense of humor too.

Thanks ladies I really needed to laugh and have a great time today.

Leah's quilt part 1

I have the fabric cut and ready to go. I go and get my sewing machine out of the box and well we have an issue we have no power cord for it. Sorry folks no pictures of the quilt for awhile. I have another power cord on order just need to wait until it gets here so I can really get down to business This is crazy that it really makes me upset. Leah will be here before I get it together, get the other things to her before the box finally gets mail off. I just hope that with all the cleaning of getting rid of boxes 2 rooms at a time just might help and that I will come across it. More to come soon.

Quilt

This one of my quilts I made, this one for my mom. My Mamaw's quilt looks pretty much the same, just a different color shirt. This is one of the 3 quilts that I actually finished all myself with the help of my "MOM"/Mentor/Teacher Alicia Rayl. I made 2 other quilts just haven't either finished them or completed them all my myself. I really love doing this because it is just other passion of mine. Its almost like a stress reliever when I put myself into my work.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my new blog all about me. I may never have the perfect blog as like some others have out there, or even have things spelled right. But I don't really cares, because this is my blog and I can pretty much write whatever is on my mind.

SO, I have started making cards in 2004 and scrapbooking in 2006. I am now more into the whole scrapbooking more than the cards because now I have a little boy named Matthew that is a huge part of my world now. I just love taking pictures of him and then putting them on paper and doing something i want to do. Since moving to Maryland after being in Ohio, North Carolina, Arizona, and now Maryland because my husband of 6 1/2 years got out of the Marine Corps and has taken a job here. I met a few really awesome ladies and have gotten me too making cards again.

I have only ever finished 2 scrapbooks since starting. I am a perfection when is comes to them. I really take my time when doing them too. My first book was to my brother and SIL (sister-in-law) of there wedding in Jamaica. I took all the pictures that was taken and made a really awesome book. The second one was for my hubbies 26 MEU book. It is just about done just have to have him tell me what to write in it then it will be done. Then I am still on my sons first year book even though we are now in his second year. LOL

I started quilting in 2005 when my best friend Brandy taught me how to sew. So, when hubby came home from his deployment he bought me a sewing machine. I not only make quilts but I make Hooded Towels, spit rags, and quilts. I really came a long way too. I made a quilt for my hubby and sent it too him in Iraq. I made one for a really great friend of mine too. This past Christmas I surprised my mom and grandmother a quilt that had my grandpa flannel shirt on it.

Don't worry once I get this blog really started I will have pictures of everything I have done in the past and things that I will make in the future. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. My stuff might not be great but it is to me. I worked hard on the things I make or even do. I hope you even get some ideas off of me. I would also love to see your comments and even your work too.
